US and Mexico Border
In response to growing tension along the U.S. and Mexico border, this creative exploration imagines how a new form of society could emerge through gradual change. I envisioned a five-phase evolution of a border community, where social functions become increasingly diverse and tolerant, ultimately transforming conflict into integration.

Problem
With the construction of the border wall, the conflict between the United States and Mexico is increasing from day to day, as is the hostility between the two nationals.
Strategy
A theory called AGONISM states that in order to make a social change and free people, the conflict must be allowed where differences and opposition can be confronted. Therefore, I conceived an evolution of a new society on the border area with a new social structure.
Storyboard
I conceived an evolution of a new society on the border area with a new social structure with five stages to evolve. During this process, the structures of the society are evolving, becoming diverse and tolerant; people have different goals to achieve at each stage. Finally, the two opposing groups will achieve integration.
Spatial Diagram
I created an architectural diagram showing the evolution of buildings and public space on the border area. The functions and styles of architecture are evolving, becoming diverse and tolerant. In this way, the two opposite groups will experience the process from conflict to integration, searching for personal identities.
