Hey there, I'm Ming!

I’m a UX designer focused on shaping intuitive experiences for complex systems.

Over the past 3 years at Centric Software, I’ve worked across two product lines, Centric PLM and PLM Connect, owning end-to-end design for multiple initiatives, from 0→1 projects to system-level improvements.

My Strengths
Thinking in systems

Working across domains like fashion, hardgoods, and food, I begin each project by understanding how a workflow fits into the broader process and business goals. By synthesizing insights from domain expert interviews, real customer data, and online research, I map the end-to-end journey and align with key stakeholders around those findings.

Navigating ambiguity

Much of my work starts in ambiguous problem spaces where requirements aren’t fully defined. I take initiative in these moments by working closely with product and engineering to break down complex problems, clarify tradeoffs, and define actionable next steps.

Design excellance

I pursue high design quality through continuous iteration. I regularly bring my work into design critiques to pressure-test ideas and details. This allows me to move quickly and deliver well-crafted experiences.

Early Experience

Before entering the UX field, I had experience in interactive design, 3D design and architecture. Those experiences allowed me to develop critical thinking through humans' minds, design for human needs, consider systems holistically, and communicate ideas through clear and aesthetic visuals.

Outside of Work

I love staying active and curious. I spend winters snowboarding, play in a Bay Area volleyball league, and enjoy traveling and being outdoors. They all help me reset and bring balance to my creative work.
